@arse: Should be fixed now, please try again.

this doesn't build for me on a fresh arch install, yay complains:

Leaving directory po. make: *** [buildsys.mk:133: all] Error 2 ==> ERROR: A failure occurred in build(). Aborting... -> error making: audacious-gtk3-exit status 4 -> Failed to install the following packages. Manual intervention is required: audacious-gtk3 - exit status 4

I don't know how to fix it.

@rado84: Sorry for the late response. I can't reproduce this and also doubt it only affects the GTK3 version (GTK2 should behave the same).

AUR comments aren't a bug tracker, please report the issue here: https://github.com/orgs/audacious-media-player/discussions

There's a problem with Cyrillic encoding when the track name starts with a number. I'm 100% sure of it bc I just installed the official audacious which uses Qt framework and it DOESN'T have that problem! Whereas the GTK3 edition displays "error in encoding characters". I have this song by the Bulgarian singer Slavi Trifonov which is named "100 SMS". The GTK3 edition keeps displaying the said error, the QT edition doesn't.

@Radioactiveman : yes column headers ! And ok i understand. Thanks you !

Radioactiveman commented on 2023-05-10 19:01 (UTC)

@Npa: Do you mean the column headers? Then this in intended. Because of the small width for the track length column, its header is not shown.

Hi i dont know if it's the good place to signal a very small bug (if it's not excuse me) : the word duration do not appear into the toolbar (duration appears for each track, no problem).

Man, thank you so much for making v4.x with GTK3! I was sticking to 3.10.1 for a long time bc the new 4.x versions with that Qt are full of bugs but now I can finally have the latest version with the better interface! Thank you!

Radioactiveman commented on 2022-03-11 10:54 (UTC)

@Npa: The next version will be 4.2, not 4.5. And yes, it will be available for GTK3 as well. But don't expect new GTK related features. Audacious' focus is more on Qt meanwhile.
