I don't think it is the AUR's place to remove update checks.

The UI does not load when opening up the application and when launched via a terminal, it tells me:

Cannot load libcuda.so.1

Why does jellyfinmediaplayer need libcuda? I don't have cuda installed or even an nvidia graphics card x)

@moros1138: Thanks for staying on top of this!

The package installs a file under non-standard directory:

$ pacman -Qo /usr/resources/qtwebengine_devtools_resources.pak
/usr/resources/qtwebengine_devtools_resources.pak is owned by jellyfin-media-player 1.10.0-1

@nvllsvm Thanks! Setting forceExternalWebclient to true solved it.

@moros1138 All good bro :) its just a matter of time I think. Maybe it would have been better if this package was not updated till the server was updated.

@akya good question.

First, I have to apologize. In my haste to give an answer I failed to consider the Arch ecosystem. I made an assumption that it was as up-to-date as you can get. This was obviously incorrect.

My server runs as a docker container that is updated pretty much when the upstream makes a release. When upstream released a new version 3 days ago, I was able to update it on my end.

Sorry again for the confusion.

@moros1138 How did you update the server? arch hasn't updated the main packages yet.

@nvllsvm @Awebb @norambna According to this issue on github the server needs to be updated as well. I updated the server after experiencing the "No home screen" bug and all is right in the world!

Setting forceExternalWebclient to true will get you up fast, but the real fix will come from updating the server. Hope this is helpful info.

Desktop shortcut is not working properly after update, I can no longer pin it as the Startup WM Class changed and will needed to be fixed.
