Thanks, @bulletmark ... It works now. I got this in my email from the scid-vs-pc mailing list pretty much confirming that they made changes to the tarball without changing the version:

@Tyrin.price, yes it appears the scid_vs_pc developers have once again changed the tar file but not the version. I have updated the checksum with 4.25-2 to fix this.

I have made another update 4.24-3 which now includes the
pkgrelin the download file name. So whenever thepkgrelgets bumped this will force a new file to be downloaded, and thus avoid this checksum problem with any old cached file.bulletmark commented on 2023-06-07 01:37 (UTC)
@SleepyMario, make sure you use the current version 4.24-2 and make sure you delete any cached

Disregard my last. Rookie mistake. I just put the one 'SKIP' but forgot to include the md5sums for all the other stuff in sources like in this package. Oops.

Just a question for the maintainer. I modified your pkgbuild to build the latest from SVN. My question is how do I get it to skip integrity checks. I know I can do makepkg --skipinteg but I want it in the pkgbuild so I can share it here. I tried md5sums=('SKIP') immediately after the sources but that didn't work.

Yes, we have to put up with this crazy practice where the upstream developers release new changes in the same version file(!). I have updated the md5sum.
