@mogwai Anyway thank you, it was lucky for me to know that Raspberry Pi has a weakness, Widevine.

@Muflone AUR being exclusive to X86_64 is certainly not appropriate for this package.

It seems that this package will highly likely be deleted soon.
I am mirroring it here, just in case: https://codeberg.org/mogwai/widevine

@nickelmitchell: Manjaro is not supported.
Muflone commented on 2024-06-01 15:33 (UTC)
@nickelmitchell the A in AUR means Arch Linux, which is a GNU/Linux distribution running on x86_64 CPU only
For different architectures there are different distributions which have their tools to manage the packages. This package should move to the ArchARM platforms.
As an Arch Linux user I expect every package in the AUR to work with my distribution, not to find whatever is compatible with it as it was misused for supporting others distributions. The broken packages in the AUR are regularly deleted.
Supporting multiple archictures requires a huge effort, a lot of extra hardware, a lot of extra people to maintain and test packages on the different architectures.

@Muflone I am afraid that you are definitely more familiar with linux than I am, but this package is for enabling Widevine on ARM. The chromium-widevine is for X86_64 and will not work on ARM. By the way, arch linux doesn't seem to want to support ARM, why is that?

Thank you for all your work @mogwai.
I'm raspi 3 model B+ user. Not works this version on Manjaro ARM Linux_24.03. In previous versions, I replaced glibc with glibc-widevine and ran “yay -S widevine” and the installation succeeded, but in the current version(4.10.2710.0-7) it fails. “yay -S widevine” outputs this log endlessly. https://pastebin.com/zs11UeFa
When I try to install widevine with AUR enabled in pamac, I get an error that glibc cannot be removed. https://pastebin.com/yhQH92Di
So I tried to update glibc (2.35-5.1) to 2.39 on terminal, but it seems that it is not yet available for AArch64. $ sudo pacman -S 'glibc>=2.39' error: target not found: glibc>=2.39
Then I replaced glibc with glibc-widevine and tried to install widevine with pamac again, but I get the error "gcc-git is not available for the 'aarch64' architecture.". https://pastebin.com/QqPPPUGm

@mogwai there's still a deletion request open since a lot of time so I have to decide whether to keep or delete this package
I asked in the mailing for clarification about keeping this package but the answers weren't enough https://lists.archlinux.org/archives/list/aur-requests@lists.archlinux.org/thread/IAHLWRGRNHHUZRU2LRMX5UTZUNGJBAUO/#5CT5XAQZNIHQYPSRZ6CMDTY67XE3QOU2
So, before deleting this package, let me know if this package offers the same software for chromium-widevine, with the addition to offer links for different browsers

@mogwai: Works perfectly on Kodi on my RPi4 (armv7h)!
Again, thanks for all the work you've been putting into this.

@mkurz: Thanks for spotting this. I thought I had run the final version on all architectures before uploading... Despite my thorough checking I must have accidentally added local changes to that script. Should be fixed now.

After first installation, you will need to log out and back in. It might also be required to restart the browser up to 2 times before the widevine library is fully recognized and registered.
Please test the setup by browsing to https://bitmovin.com/demos/drm
