You need to be sourcing /etc/profile to have it pull in the /etc/profile.d/perlbin.sh script which sets the PATH. Source it and it should work.

run gpgdir given " command not found" ? tried to install as normal user and run again, just ouput a big mess. Any idea mate?

You can add x86_64 to arch array.
