Tarball :: Files :: PKGBUILD
This package has been flagged out of date.
Dependencies coreutils module-init-tools
Add the CONFIG_LBD please. I needed to activate this to mount my ext4 partitions. :\ Nice package btw though.
To make the PKGBUILD start the compilation without problem change:
1- the address http://sources.gentoo.org/viewcvs.py/*checkout*/linux-patches/genpatches-2.6/trunk/2.6.29/4200_fbcondecor-0.9.6.patch (position 4 in the "source" array)
in
http://sources.gentoo.org/viewcvs.py/*checkout*/linux-patches/genpatches-2.6/trunk/2.6.29/4201_fbcondecor-0.9.6.patch
2- the md5 'dc0af2aaa5ea81b003847771c1b4600e' (position 4 in the "md5sums" array) in '962c93cb8ea9bb0ff6ffa3562e3bf468'
I get an error while patching file virt/kvm/kvm_main.c
It stops the compilaton and abort the process....how can i fix it?
Also, 4200_fbcondecor-0.9.6.patch does not exist, and I'm using 4201_fbcondecor-0.9.6.patch insted...
Same error using 4200_fbcondecor-0.9.6.patch
It doesn't mount my sda4 partition(/home) without CONFIG_LBD enabled.
Also I have enabled CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_STAT to use with PowerTOP
Minor change: Delete firmware directory
Thanks! iceman81
Add this line at the end of PKGBUILD to solve the issue:
# Delete firmware directory
rm -rf ${pkgdir}/lib/firmware
error
kernel26-oneice: /lib/firmware/mts_cdma.fw already exist in filesystem
kernel26-oneice: /lib/firmware/mts_edge.fw already exist in filesystem
kernel26-oneice: /lib/firmware/mts_gsm.fw already exist in filesystem
I removed this files, but why it error happens?
Updated to 2.6.29.2
initrd is no longer required.
Updated to 2.6.29.1 kernel (as for kernel26-oneice-2.6.29.1-5)
1.acerhdf patch was a little different with the one used for kernel26-one-dev which set acerhdf in kernel mode instead of user mode by default. User mode seems not working with 2.6.29.
2.lvds-dither patch is from MSI Wind Wiki, it will resolve the reduced color-depth issue if you turn on KMS.
As for this version:
1.KMS works with intelfb (with grub2-915resolution), but it hangs (more frequently when I run openoffice) randomly though very rare.
2. fbcondecor/fbsplash works
3. suspend2disk works
@jvalecillos The URL works for me, make sure you are logged in and retry it. Maybe from a different browser app.
I can not upload or update packages, http://aur.archlinux.org/pkgsubmit.php send me to a blank page. How do you upload or update your package?...
@dimitrisd I didn't play with CFLAGS, and my kernel mainly have three goals, fbcondecor, tuxonice and only build with necessary stuff. No idea of benchmarking, but it felt faster than stock kernel during boot and running.
Updated to 2.6.28.7 and acerhdf patch was updated 0.3 which support linux kernel thermal API.
Have you done any benchmark compared to normal arch linux kernel or with different cflags?
I can't find any benchmark about the cflags or any application who can tell that custom compile for intel atom is better or how much.
Seems that every one guess the cflags. They don't know if they really work.
I'll get my A150L in 2 days and i can't benchmark, yet.
Updated to 2.6.28.6 and update the acerhdf patch to 0.2.2
Updated to 2.6.28.5
acerhdf (http://piie.net/index.php?section=acerhdf) was built as a module.
Patch is a gift from Piie
Updated to 2.6.28.2
1. intelfb is re-adopted because uvesafb has some conflicts with lasted GEM intel video driver.
2. add a couple gentoo patches.
3. uvesafb stuff is supported in the FALLBACK image.
I don't remember what I did regarding bluetooth support, but it sounded like I adopted a newer version of bluetooth in kernel. Suspension works great for me
Why you remove Hidp rfcomm support (bluetooth)? Everything fine, but I can`t use my BT mouse. And my acer can`t wake up from hibernate. after boot x-server cycle restarts. (sorry for bad english)
This AUR is simply the combination of kernel26-one and kernel26-ice.
The goal is to created a customized kernel AUR for Acer Aspire One model A150 (harddrive version).
I patcted kernel26-one with TuxOnIce and fbcondecor.
I also made the usage of uvesafb/915resolution-static/v86d automatic by building a working mkinitcpio.conf.
Hibernate(suspend2disk) with fbsplash support has been tested and it works fine!
modules related to dm-crypt were built into the kernel (not as modules), but LUKS/dm-crypt has not been tested yet, but it should work.
Whether or not stuff like ALSA drivers will work after recovery from suspension has not been tested yet, but it should work.
Please follow related Arch wikis (suspend2disk, fbsplash, acer aspire one, etc...) and it is very straight forward to achieve what I have done.
This is my first serious AUR contribution and any comment is welcomed.
