Updated, uses a new mirror from http://www.gnu.org/prep/ftp.html , and conflicts with screen.
I had trouble with that source location; there are plenty of mirrors though, and I just downloaded the tarball manually from elsewhere. ;)
Will add conflicts=('screen') soon.
This update should fix that. If you've already installed, no need to upgrade.
1/1) checking for file conflicts [-----------------------------] 100%
error: failed to prepare transaction (conflicting files)

rya@bsix:screen-vs $ pacman -Qo /usr/share/info/dir.gz
/usr/share/info/dir.gz is owned by gnupg 1.4.9-4
I am pretty clueless when it comes to man/info files so no idea whats going on, also i think the install script is missing a line to remove the info file.
Added x86_64, removed libelf & gpm deps
http://bugs.archlinux.org/task/14700
See the newest screen package in [extra].
Screen doesnt depend on gpm, and libelf use should be avoided.
I couldn't find vertical split in screen-git, so I'm using this and it works very well - it should remain..
Btw, it works on x86_64, so you can add the flag to PKGBUILD.. Could you also add 'patch' to the dependencies. Thanks.
Thanks for pointing that out.
With that in mind, I'll request removal of this package whenever that patchset hits an official release.
Until then, screen-vs should probably remain available for those who want the vsplit function, but who for whatever reason do not wish to use the development version.
Since vertical spliting is part of screen-git i would propose using that one instaed if you need that feature. This patch is not actively maintained. See http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/screen-users/2009-01/msg00026.html and subsequent mails.
Re: an x86_64 flag; I don't have an x86_64 install to test on, but will gladly add one if someone verifies that it does, indeed, work on an x86_64 machine (just the request doesn't tell me anything about whether it works or not.) I don't see any reason it *shouldn't* build, however.
x86_64 flag please?
Cleaned up the PKGBUILD some.
Also, now with an undefined percentage of more info! (The info file is now included; (1-0)/0 = [undefined; can't divide by 0])
molok, i had also told u about this in the irc once but u were away and probably didnt notice afterwards but that thing u do with colours totally CENSORED up colors even if u unistall the pkg and reinstall the screen pkg from current. maybe theres a way to revert the changes after u remove the pkg
