This package has been flagged out of date.
Dependencies ncurses
The grub-gfxmenu-v8.diff patch is out of date. Gfxboot has a newer one that fixes some bugs, for example 'savedefault' without arguments now works.
* first, download http://download.opensuse.org/source/distribution/11.1/repo/oss/suse/src/gfxboot-4.1.19-2.1.src.rpm
* rpmextract.sh gfxboot-4.1.19-2.1.src.rpm
* tar xf gfxboot-4.1.19.tar.bz2
* cat gfxboot-4.1.19/patches/grub-0.97.patch
Hi,
I just tried to install the package and found that following entries in PKGBUILD should be changed:
pkgver=4.1.16
_pkgver=1.6
md5sum of the rpm package is bb20218cc9873534095d5830798d5841
Unfortunately I just switched to Arch so that I don't know that to do it here.
Regards, david
archpkg.rodp.net ?
is it possible to get a precompiled version of this package as it doesn't seem to compile at all on arch64
k ill try that
mkdir 1
cd 1
cpio -i < /boot/message
cp ../picture.jpg back.jpg
su
..pass
ls . |cpio -o > /boot/message.new

maibe you dont edit /boot/grub/menu.lst
to add :
gfxmenu (hdX,X)/boot/message
I put a menu.lst.example in tarball
404 not found :(
yes,maybe its build with old gfxboot
hey!
great package, however I'm having a problem: when I download gfxboot themes (for example the one at http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Linux+Tux+-+gfxboot?content=46776) and configure grub to use it, it says something along the lines of "incorrect format", the one included works though... does the same happen to you?
wheee, thanks! I didn\'t notice this package...
*installs it*
