I dont know why configuration files for Lazarus are not created when installing the package. That is exactly the problem. Contact the package maintainer with this, please.

pkgbuilds need to build without passing to the IDE first, also this is a disguised VCS pkgbuilds without a proper pkgver() https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/VCS_package_guidelines#Git

I have all the stuff specified in depends and makedepends installed and available on local repo, everything build in clean chroot

Try to run the IDE first (gtk2 or qt5, whatever) and then start building the package. On a separate machine, for some reason it only started building internal dependencies after that %)

Check for the compiler, Lazarus itself and the command, it is not worth editing, also make sure you have qt4 on your system, please.

You can specify even qt5, without the interface part, most likely nothing will be built.

Hello,

For all doom2df-editor-* pkgbuilds please use conflicts=(doom2df-editor) instead of specifying the variants
problem building:

==> Starting build()...
Error: (lazarus) invalid Lazarus directory "": directory lcl not found
Error: (lazarus) Building failed: Editor.lpi
==> ERROR: A failure occurred in build().
