I'm currently grieving with the loss of several family members. If you want to request co-maintainer positions, please do.

And also please use a monotonically increasing rREVISIONNUMBER before the git rev-parse --short HEAD.

As for the change in versioning, please add epoch=1 to the beginning section of the PKGBUILD.

@EndlessEden, the problem is only solved on the packaging level if you make this one explicitly depend on stratagus-git and not on stratagus.

Otherwise the package does not fulfil its purpose to be explicit in defining everything that is needed for a build in a satisfactory manner.

Updated: Fixed sources and versioning string to match upstream. NOTE: version will initially appear older (This is intentional, '2.4.4' was a static number i chose so it wouldnt be superseeded at the time. However, last release was 2.4.1, as this is just a increment of that, 2.4.1.[commit].[date]-1 is more accurate).

PLEASE RE-INSTALL THIS PACKAGE IF YOU HAVE IT ALREADY INSTALLED.

@MarsSeed: "Cannot resolve dependencies if AUR/stratagus is used. Please see comment." - This is intentional, aur/stratagus is missing "stratagus-gameutils.h" from their package. It stargus-git cannot be built against it.

EndlessEden commented on 2022-07-08 21:22 (UTC)

@gameslayer: "stratagus-gameutils.h" is specifically specified in stratagus-git, as its not included in stratagus.

EG: your package manager chose stratagus over stratagus-git, to fullfill the stratagus dependency. But stratagus doesnt have, "stratagus-gameutils.h" and stratagus-git conflicts with stratagus. so the package manager fails.

Install stratagus-git, and problem solved.

I see that someone else flagged this as out of date today.

I noticed movement: https://github.com/Wargus/stargus/pull/51

I'm not sure what the status is, if it will pull the latest version, but it would be nice to see this complete building for testing.

Unable to build as it's missing a dependency.
