Aelius, as it seems you have a bit of a reading impairment and like to drop inane comments, get your timeline straight before making an ass out of yourself.
I submitted the package in its creator's stead, but promised no maintenance myself, as I wasn't its developer, just a submitter.

Have fun.
The YouTube video was created just as a small demo of Telescope in action. You know, for reference. Bloody awful syntax, too and true, but somewhat human readable. Unless, that is, you do have the aforementioned impairment, which might have you mistaking generic compilation instructions with the Arch package, too.
BTW, next time try not to mix the maintainer and submitter, too. The package has changed since its first submission which was when the video was made.
Cheers.

Cannot load image: /usr/share/telescope/text-background.png
Also you should really include a commented conf file, using a youtube description is a) terrible and b) your syntax on the youtube page is terrible.

/etc/telescope.conf is empty
( looked to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HU0noY91WA0 for config settings)
still cannot launch (bound F5?) and also dont see a tray icon.
Is this a packaging issue?

Shouldn't this depend on glib2, not glib?
