Its all I found, but it would confirm my suspicion, that js17 has some issues due to changes made.

I have a compiled against js185 pkg in my repo since some time.
I was hoping to drop it from my repo to use AUR version.
As far as I can tell, at least for kde, it works well.
Thank you.

Ok, I done small research and found absolutely nothing, but as it's very likely js185 was actually named 'js' when this package was originally uploaded, I can change dependency and see what gets broken...

There is no error message.
In kde, the notification gets active, but the service won't get activated. So notification is stuck, trying to activate polkit. Also mounting doesn't work.

Well, it works OK for me, but it really can be dependency that I oversought, as I have both js and js185 installed.
Is there any error message displayed?

Do you get polkit authorization working with your polkit version?
Do you use i686?
I tested it on my system with kde and openrc installed.
Your version doesn't grant authorization. eg apper won't get auth.
If I compile with js185 instead of js, it works.
I had a look at the gentoo ebuild, and they also compile with js185(spidermoneky), but if I recall, only for ax86_64.
I am also on 64 bit.
