I'm using kernel version 6.2, which is already in arch's test repository, and the 8188fu driver is already included in it, in the rtl8xxxu module. Just a note below: The module doesn't load itself with systemd, so you'll have to enable it using modprobe or, what I think is better, add it to systemd's autoload, using: "/etc/modules-load.d/rtl8xxxu .conf". As explained here: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Kernel_module The drive is much faster, no crashes, nothing. Very good!

Upstream build is broken for kernels 5.8 up. For kernel versions > 5.8 and < 6, please use package 8188fu-kelebek333-dkms-git
. For kernel versions >= 6 and < 6.2, please use package 8188fu-supremegamers-dkms-git
. For versions >= 6.2, in-kernel drivers are available.

Added firmware and fixed a small package bug. Let me know if there are any issues. Thanks @TheGoliath for creating original package!

FYI I've added the package 8188fu-kelebek333-dkms-git which pulls from https://github.com/kelebek333/rtl8188fu upstream, because that repo supports kernel 5.8.
I made 2 changes to the PKGBUILD
which would also be useful for this package:
1) Fix missing $
in pkgver
on line 48 (see diff)
2) Install firmware (see diff)

I can confirm that this works on 5.7.2. Thank you for patching it!

So turns out the mirror is blocked in thailand. Would be cool if something prone to blocking could be used instead.
