Thank you for the report, fixed.

In both this PKGBUILD and fork from Alister.Hood, there is a bug that prevents source code patching, because subsequent builds with makepkg -e would fail:

sed -i "s/lrelease/lrelease-qt4/" qtoctave/src/CMakeLists.txt

must be changed to

sed -i "s/\"lrelease\"/\"lrelease-qt4\"/" qtoctave/src/CMakeLists.txt

launching some times in sequence makepkg -e, lrelease-qt4 will become something like lrelease-qt4-qt4-qt4-qt4-qt4-qt4 :)

Ah, there is a fork, updated to work with recent octave. This PKGBUILD works, although I'm not sure if it should be posted as qtoctaveng-git or qtoctave-ng-git, or just qtoctave-git :)

But it currently segfaults at startup for me :(
With many thousands of lines in the backtrace...

Alister.Hood commented on 2013-07-23 00:52

The "out-of-date" flag on this is erroneous.

Checksum will have a tendency to fail due to network issues, especially at the remote server. Try a second time and it should work. Delete your cached source if any.

xyproto commented on 2013-06-30 12:02

The checksum is correct here as well.

Alister.Hood commented on 2013-06-30 10:27

It built OK for me, so I guess Checksum is OK.

test0 commented on 2013-06-24 13:00

Checksum verification fails.

you should add:
-DQT_QMAKE_EXECUTABLE=qmake-qt4

to the cmake line in the build() function, so it will look like:

cmake -DQT_QMAKE_EXECUTABLE=qmake-qt4 -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=/usr -DCMAKE_SKIP_RPATH=ON \
-DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=RELEASE .
