@steiny: I just updated the package to 0.6.2-3, where the hardening-wrapper dependency has been removed.

The hardening-wrapper package was removed. Is there a workaround?

@trichards The error has been fixed. Thanks.

@MarkH I'm getting the same error and it has been fixed.

@MarkH: Looks like the source tarball has changed. Please use 0.6.2-2 , it should fix this issue.

When I try to install texworks, I'm getting an error indicating the sha256sum check does not pass.

@jeanfrancisroy: The list of dictionaries presented in TeXworks is accurate, as far as I can tell. In this screenshot, I have hunspell-en and hunspell-de installed:

After installing the hunspell-en package, it may look like there are lots of different dictionaries in the /usr/share/myspell/dicts directory, but if you look at where those symlinks point to (/usr/share/hunspell), you'll see that most of them are actually just aliases for the en_GB dictionary. There are only three real dictionaries provided by the hunspell-en package, and TeXworks ends up displaying en_ZW for the en_GB dictionary because of the aliases.

TexWorks doesn't seem to find my hunspell dictionaries. If I'm right the default directory for TexWorks dictionaries is /usr/share/myspell/dicts, which on my system contains many dictionaries, but when I launch the application only a subset of those is found: en_CA, en_US, en_ZW and fr_LU.

I don't even know where it finds that list of dictionaries, as I never manually installed any of those. Anybody had it to work?

I just had a problem where texworks would not start after hunspell was updated (1.3.0 -> 1.4.1) and instead print the error:

texworks: error while loading shared libraries: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

The solution was to reinstall texworks so it would use the updated hunspell.
