Please stop flagging package as out-of-date until there is stable version, not alpha, beta, RC or whatever.

They moved it to https://download.acestream.media/linux/acestream_3.1.49_ubuntu_18.04_x86_64.tar.gz, see https://docs.acestream.net/products/#linux

@fabiololix, can you please adopt this package and take it updated with the PKGBUILD I provided and your suggestions? Thanks

btw, there is no need to rename the downloaded package since it is already unique

That package is not updated from two years. It's abandoned and since it was updated to a beta version, it is not properly managed.

Both pkgbuilds are on the same version now.

Let's hope that acestream will use python3 when setuptools is removed from Arch repos. Devs said that it's almost ready and were going to release this summer.

It's a working approach. The package from acestream website already have some libraries included in lib folder. Python2 packages are not supported anymore, so not relying on external packages is better. A solution should be found also when setuptools is removed from upstream.

The other package have unneeded openssl-1.0. pygtk is optional, but needed for GUI.

I don't see it mentioned in the acestream-engine comments

python2-apsw included in lib folder, not needed to install from AUR.

I don't think that is the right approach
