Once you install it, you should use activityfirefox (instead of firefox).

To make ”Activity-aware Firefox” as the default browser on your Plasma desktop:

  1. open System Settings
  2. either search for “browser” or navigate manually to: Personalisation ↦ Applications ↦ Default Applications
  3. and there under Web Browser select the new entry called “Activity-aware Firefox”

The wrapper has been fixed to better handle qdbus6 as well as xdpyinfo as dependencies.

As soon as it is confirmed that it works fine on other machines than mine, I will release 0.5.0 and update the package here accordingly, together with the updated deps. Thank you @ChenyHsu and @UweKrause for the reports (and patience).

It won't work without package xorg-xdpyinfo installed. Maybe add xorg-xdpyinfo to dependencies?

Thank you, UweKrause. I’m looking into it. It seems I did not notice it so far because I still had some Qt5 installed in parallel to Qt6.

This stopped working for me recently. The script (/usr/bin/activityfirefox) can't find the command qdbus. -> Replacing qdbus with qdbus6 (line 167 & 169) helped.

I opened an issue.
