@jdarch: I successfully run the game with:

# cd /usr/lib && ln -s libncursesw.so libncurses.so.5

According to the graphic version https://aur4.archlinux.org/packages/adom-noteye/, installing libtinfo from aur should also solves the problem https://aur4.archlinux.org/packages/libtinfo/

jdarch commented on 2015-10-06 20:58

The dependency is libncurses.so.5

@TrialnError: You are right, that makes no sense. It was just a copy-paste error from the adom-restricted PKGBUILD. Copy-paste rarely goes unpunished...

TrialnError commented on 2015-09-11 12:17

I didn't notice that change before. But why adding provides and conflicts to the PKGBUILD where it provides and conflicts its own pkgname?
I noticed this "enhancement" for various PKGBUILDS or requests to add those and argued against it.
Imo there is no much sense to use the logic, where package adom conflicts adom, just to provide adom...

@TrialnError: Thanks, I learned about this feature a while ago from your adom-noteye PKGBUILD :) I plan on implementing it for the next update.

TrialnError commented on 2015-08-17 12:39

Since pacman 4.2 it is possible to use architecture specific sources.
See for more information http://allanmcrae.com/2014/12/pacman-4-2-released/

Oops! Thanks for noticing @irb. It should be fixed now.

irb commented on 2015-07-28 18:20

Looks like it might be a different download location?

curl: (22) The requested URL returned error: 404 Not Found
==> ERROR: Failure while downloading adom_linux_debian_64_r59_pub.tar.gz

There is no r59 (or 58) at http://ancardia.us.to/download/, just 1.2.0pre23.

mutterschiff commented on 2015-07-19 19:02

Hi, I just wanted to let you know that the current prerelease is version 58. you can get it at http://www.ancardia.com/download.html.

nuteater commented on 2014-05-28 04:38

@Feirlane: Thanks! I've adopted your changes to the package. I'll also add this to adom-restricted when the next closed prerelease is out.

Feirlane commented on 2014-05-27 15:36

Hi, I've added a couple of lines to also support building the package on the raspberry pi. https://gist.github.com/anonymous/1a1a6320323750f9e141

@JarrodH: It looks like they removed the old files from the mirror as soon as pre23 was released.

In any case, a new prerelease with quite a lot of new stuff was just released for the public. Have fun!

JarrodH commented on 2014-05-22 21:10

And it literally worked last night..

JarrodH commented on 2014-05-22 21:10

That link is now giving a 404.

nuteater commented on 2014-02-05 11:58

@AlexTes: ancardia.us.to is a mirror that hosts the same files as ancardia.com. I thought I'll save the Creator's bandwidth so that he can use his money on making ADOM better instead of paying for hosting files.

AlexTes commented on 2014-02-05 11:16

Not sure if flagging out of date is applicable. But there seems to have been a domain change meaning the source url has become http://ancardia.com/.. instead of http://ancardia.us.to/..

Now the NotEye version available as adom-noteye.

nuteater commented on 2013-11-03 07:35

A new public prerelease, pre18, is available. Enjoy! I'll start working on a PKGBUILD for the graphical NotEye version as well.

nuteater commented on 2012-12-26 08:31

A slightly newer prerelease version pre5 is now open to the public. Happy holidays!

nuteater commented on 2012-10-22 11:07

I just uploaded a new package, "adom-restricted", for 1.2.0_pre4. This prerelease is restricted
to people who contributed at least $25 to the ADOM resurrection campaign.

nuteater commented on 2012-09-16 15:29

The final public prerelease for ADOM 1.2.0, pre3, is out. The mildly annoying
"check crowd funding campaign" -screen is gone now, and so is a number of bugs.
I've updated the PKGBUILD for you to enjoy. Further prereleases will only be
for campaign donors to enjoy, the rest of you can wait for 1.2.0 final :)

nuteater commented on 2012-09-13 05:58

OK, I adopted this package and uploaded an updated PKGBUILD for pre2.
@mrqwer88: I used your PKGBUILD as a template, thanks.
I've tested this for 64-bit and 32-bit, and everything seems to be working
properly (no need for lib32-ncurses anymore).

The new 1.2.0_pre series fixes a lot of bugs, but the warnings about it
being a prerelease can be a bit annoying. We could consider having a separate
package for the prereleases. Let me know what you think.

nuteater commented on 2012-09-03 15:32

@mrqwer88: Are you sure lib32-ncurses is required for the 64-bit build?
I would expect the 64-bit binary to link against a 64-bit libncurses.

http://pastebin.com/B5kkWuaS - new version. Update it please.

ADOM 1.2.0 prerelease 2 is out (http://www.ancardia.com/download.html) with an impressive amount of
(long awaited for) bugfixes (http://www.ancardia.com/changelog.html). It is still only a prerelease,
but considering the bugs it fixes, many ADOM fans probably want to upgrade.
