@mazharhussain: That's great, but at times the theme might be behind the upstream version of Libadwaita. This package is still useful, thanks for maintaining it.

The official adw-gtk3 page at https://github.com/lassekongo83/adw-gtk3/blob/f26e86c8a7b40ac23f165efdb620f734c0f1db23/gtk4.md says
Which means GTK4 apps (including the Flatpak apps) should be themed correctly when using adw-gtk3 and you should not need to install this package anymore.

I cannot rename it to adw-gtk3 since this package depends on adw-gtk3 and there cannot be two themes named adw-gtk3 installed at once.
I could create flatpaks for Adw and Adw-dark and I probably will some day but I don't know when.

@mazharhussain can you rename the GTK theme to adw-gtk3 and adw-gtk3-dark ? Otherwise flatpak applications don't get themed since there is no corresponding flatpak theme with the same name. Or the other solution could be to create a flatpak for this just like the adw-gtk3 theme. I do prefer the Adw and Adw-dark names over the original but its a problem if the new names cause issues with flatpak apps.

An issue with using this in place of the adw-gtk3 theme is that this one does not have flatpak versions, so flatpak apps dont get themed. Anyway that can be addressed ?

@Tomoghno, This is not a theme in itself. This is just a meta package. It uses adw-gtk3 for LibAdwaita like styling of GTK3 apps and extracts the official 'Adwaita' GTK4 theme from LibAdwaita itself for GTK4 apps.
If there is any good GTK2 theme ever that mimics LibAdwaita's theme, I would add it to this meta pakage. But I do not know how to write GTK(2/3/4) themes myself.

Are there any plans of GTK-2 theme support?
