Ok, it seems that it just happend with xz compression, without it works.

With 2.3e [markuman@geode ~]$ cat file.tar.xz.enc | aespipe -C 911 -e aes256 -d| tar -xJ Password: [markuman@geode ~]$ And with 2.4b [markuman@terkel ~]$ cat file.tar.xz.enc | aespipe -C 911 -e aes256 -d| tar -xJ Password: xz: (stdin): Compressed data is corrupt tar: Unerwartetes Dateiende im Archiv. tar: Unerwartetes Dateiende im Archiv. tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now [markuman@terkel ~]$ 100% same file and 100% same password!

Sorry - there's no mention of anything like this in the README or Changelog; and I don't use aespipe for anything at the moment.

uh, TAKE CARE!! can't decrypt with version 2.4b files whitch were made with 2.3e !!
