Wouldn't it be better to use releases from official site now? https://aimp.ru/?do=download&os=linux - when you download 64-bit pkg here, you can see an actual direct link to specific version - https://aimp.ru/files/desktop/builds/aimp_6.00-3051b-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst. That would probably avoid checksum mismatches.

Please, add https://archlinux.org/packages/extra/x86_64/opus-tools/ as an optional dependency. It is required for Opus encoding via build-in audio-converter. Source: https://aimp.ru/blogs/?p=1583 (you can switch to English language at the top right corner).

Hi badcast,
thanks for maintaining the aimp Nightly package! However, builds regularly fail
with aimp-nightly-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst ... FEHLGESCHLAGEN (sha256sums mismatch),
since the Yandex file changes daily.
Suggested PKGBUILD fix: sha256sums=('SKIP')
text
Or VCS-style (pkgver=git) for Nightlies. This would enable automatic updates.
My error output (16.03.2026): ==> Überprüfe source Dateien mit sha256sums... aimp-nightly-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst ... FEHLGESCHLAGEN
text
Thanks in advance!

Please, add https://archlinux.org/packages/extra/x86_64/libappindicator/ as an optional dependency. You can read discussion by me and Artem here: https://aimp-ru.translate.goog/forum/index.php?topic=77266.msg467561&_x_tr_sl=ru&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=ru&_x_tr_pto=wapp#msg467561

could you sync up with Artem on the package version format?
I am installing night builds from the official site, and *.pkg.tar.zst has a version like 6.00-3039 And update manager always tries to "upgrade" from 6.00-3039 to 6.00.3035-1. It is a bit of annoying.

When will the stable version be released ?

Hello everyone!
I receive updates directly from the author by email and only process changes after receiving the corresponding instructions. You can also send a report indicating the new version.
The author indicated a direct link to Linux Nightly dev, but unfortunately, this is not entirely realistic. Due to frequent builds, you may encounter bad checksums. Temporarily, I recommend using a stable mirror for downloading. This will allow you to avoid problems with bad checksums. Stay tuned for updates! Best regards.

@evpix Thanks, I tried manually installing using paru -U aimp-nightly-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst and it worked.
