Updated for proper pacman 4.1 support: - patching inside prepare()

I've successfully migrated from Arch to Funtoo, so I'm orphaning all my AUR packages. Please treat them well, for I might return :) To the prospective adopter: As I've already said below, the source code of this game hasn't changed since 2003 (!), and I doubt it will ever do. Fortunately, it's still maintained and patched by both Fedora and Debian developers. More of their patches might be needed in the future, though...

Updated, and changed the description as requested. Thanks!

Hmmm... For some reason, the change suggested works now, even with the "defective" dumb from [extra]. That's weird. It didn't worked yesterday. Oh well. Updated. No need to wait for a fixed dumb now.

While waiting for the fixed version of dumb, I changed the description as requested :)

The problem comes from dumb in [community]. It needs to be rebuilt taking into account the new behaviour of ld in binutils 2.22. Here's an explanation: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=135319 I've filed a bug report: https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/28430

Linker error: /usr/bin/ld: /usr/lib/libdumb.a(resample.o): undefined reference to symbol 'floor@@GLIBC_2.0' /usr/bin/ld: note: 'floor@@GLIBC_2.0' is defined in DSO /lib/libm.so.6 so try adding it to the linker command line You need to replace 'make' line in the PKGBUILD on: LDFLAGS=-lm make PREFIX=/usr Also, could you please change the description to: "Help Alex the Allegator <...>" It would be easier for users to find this game by keyword 'allegator'.

On the other hand, all that unnecessary patching is The Debian Way, not The Arch Way! Here's a more Arch-like PKGBUILD. Only unix-port.patch and allegro-4.2.patch are applied. The readme.txt wasn't really necessary, either, so I removed it. I also moved alex4.ini from /usr/share/doc/alex4 to /usr/share/alex4 (and got rid of /usr/share/doc/alex4).

Good news, everyone! With the new Allegro (4.4.2) from extra, the snd-pcm-oss workaround is no longer needed!
