Using
pkgname=$gitname-git

FWIW, it looks like all.patch was failing on a couple trivial Makefile.am rejections.
I've patched and rebuilt; all looks good. I haven't regenerated the patch, but you can find the old one and the tarball of the patched sources at my fork of this repo: https://github.com/rsrchboy/aur-alpine
