So I've officially retired the laptop that used this and can no longer test to see if the driver works. I'm going to disown the package in the hopes that someone who still uses this laptop can pick it up.

The user in question spammed a bunch of packages with trashy comments and a bunch of ridiculous orphan and deletion requests, and has therefore had their account suspended indefinitely. I recommend ignoring the comment entirely.

@lothaire: This still builds and compiles correctly, and the upstream hasn't updated since 2015... That said, I'm also not seeing the correct device in /sys/bus/acpi/devices/ -- are you aware of a fork that's works?

hi! does this supersede the (now non-existent) als-driver-git package or is it basically the same thing just using dkms?
