wxwidgets-common not provide wx-config-base (or /usr/lib/wx/config/base-unicode-3.2) script for select base wxwidgets. please feel free for open issue in wxwidgets-common package

This should depend on wxwidgets-common instead of wxwidgets-common-light.

Please see that this is same issue as @dreieck posted almost 4 years ago.

now I get this error checking for /usr/bin/wx-config-base... no configure: error: wxWidgets must be installed on your system but wx-config script couldn't be found. Please check that wx-config is in path or specified by --with-wx-config=path flag, the directory where wxWidgets libraries are installed (returned by 'wx-config --libs' command) is in LD_LIBRARY_PATH or equivalent variable and wxWidgets version is 2.8.12 or above.

I had to change this --with-wx-config=/usr/bin/wx-config-base to this --with-wx-config=/usr/bin/wx-config

Can you change the dependency wxbase-light to wxbase?

Package amule-daemon-git is also fine with wxbase, and wxbase-light does provide wxbase, so users who want only wxbase-light can explicitly install that.

you can modify the pkgbuild to adapt to wxgtk(2.8). but is not supported by me in this package
