Credentials storage does not work out of the box, it needs gnome-keyring package. Adding it as an optional dependency would be great

I've patched the product name so that the application window's WM_NAME property is set to "jetbrains-studio-canary". This should fix the launcher clashing with the stable bulid when installed simultaneously. Please post a comment if this breaks anything.

I think it would be nice to update Upstream URL to https://developer.android.com/studio/archive.html or https://developer.android.com/studio/preview/index.html tools site is abandoned

Just changing pkgver to 3.0.0.0 and _build to 171.4010489 seems to work.

@martin.mauch That would be the AUR git repo, not something we control.

martin.mauch commented on 2016-12-08 09:31 (UTC)

It looks like the git repo is currently broken: pacaur -S android-studio-canary [10:28:04] :: Package(s) android-studio-canary not found in repositories, trying AUR... :: resolving dependencies... :: looking for inter-conflicts... AUR Packages (1) android-studio-canary-2.3.0.1-1 :: Proceed with installation? [Y/n] :: Retrieving package(s)... @tad thank you for that confirmation :)

@Sc4ryb3ar: Uninstalling/reinstalling is a non-destructive process, since all configuration is stored in your home directory. You should be able to uninstall the package and remove /opt/android-studio-canary, then install this package and retain all of your settings.
