Please use an .install file to print the disclaimer so that the warning will be shown during installation. The warning in package() is shown only during build. Thank you.

To see an example, spleeter-data contains an .install file.

Please add an .install file to print a warning/disclaimer when the program is installed/updated. Something like:

This program is to be used at the user's own risk, based on their government and laws.

See disclaimer.md.

When installing, I get this error: installing ffmpeg (2:6.0-4) breaks dependency 'libavcodec.so=59-64' required by chromaprint

So, I created an account just to post about my issue with this package. It works without a problem, but as soon as I close the media player and exit ani-cli, all video players just stop working: Youtube, MPV on my PC, etc. The only way to go back to normal is to reboot Arch. I'm new to Linux, so it will take me an eternity to figure it out by myself XDD Although I will try and post an update, when I find a solution. Any help would be appreciated! And by the way, this package is awesome! ^&^ It is really convenient

UPD: OMG, I fixed it! So, right after Arch installation, I installed KDE Plasma, which comes with pulseaudio. I just followed instructions on Arch wiki on how to completely replace PulseAudio with PipeWire, and now ani-cli is working like a charm! I read it somewhere on reddit, that pipewire is generally better than pulseaudio. I didn't think such a spontaneous decision will help with my problem

@TechniKris Thank you for the info, I've made a mistake while updating the package to the 4.1 release. I've fixed it just now

TechniKris commented on 2023-02-20 22:43 (UTC)

With the 4.1 release the project has dropped wget, not sed.

Waiting for the v4 release on github so i can update the PKGBUILD, until then use ani-cli-git

@lillylizard I'm sorry for the late response, once 3.3 is released (which should be a few more days) I'll set axel as non-optional dependency. This change has already been made in the git counterpart of this package

lillylizard commented on 2022-07-12 09:38 (UTC)

I don't think aria2 should be an optional dependency imo. Downloading is a part of the core functionality and thus it's specified as a straight up dependency https://github.com/pystardust/ani-cli/tree/v3.2#Dependencies (same applies to axel which will replace it next release)
