you should remove the .git dir *before* distributing to the $pkgdir :)

Your pkgver function does not work. git describe is only useful if the repo has tags. Please see the wiki page about VCS PKGBUILDs for examples of ones that work.

With the current antigen-git PKGBUILD the package is reabuild every time during a "auro -Akup" ''sysupdate''.
