Yep. I believe it will take augments in minutes so 10m would work I think.

coderkun commented on 2014-06-11 12:42

Graysky, what would be the best way to increase the resync interval?
Would copying /usr/lib/systemd/system/asd-resync.timer to /etc/systemd/system/ and changing property “OnUnitActiveSec” be appropriate?

@mvd - Good catch. I just updated to 3.21-1 which contains these fixes. Please test and let me know.

mvd commented on 2014-04-03 19:13

Thanks for the work, this is exactly what I was looking for. Since you seem to be the author, and I'm too lazy to setup a forum/github account right now, I'm just going to post this here: To get asd working with spaces in directories (which some applications use unfortunately) all occurrences of
USER="$(stat -c %U $DIR)"
in the main bash script should be changed to
USER=$(stat -c %U "$DIR")
and everything works fine.

Cheers

Bump to v3.3-3

Changelog: when users remove the deamon, it will stop automatically to prevent data loss.

graysky commented on 2012-08-12 11:43

Great suggestion. Will fix ASAP

reztho commented on 2012-08-12 11:13

You must check systemd is running in your install script.

I'm with a pure systemd system, so rc functions don't exist anymore, so in this case, you must use the systemd service instead of the rc daemon which "fails". The install script restarts asd "succesfully", but not without outputting errors because of the dissappeared rc functions. Check the wiki:
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Systemd#Shell_Shortcuts

If anybody is interested I wrote a similar program with same functionality, goanysync: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=60715

I have some kind aversion to bash so I just rewrote it with go.

timthelion commented on 2012-06-06 22:28

I just had a not so nice experience with this deamon filling /dev/shm :( Caused a lot of programms to start crashing... Of course, it could be said to be my fault. I have no SWAP.
