It does provide binaries (now): http://www.eng.lsu.edu/mirrors/apache/flex/4.9.1/binaries/

I adopted and updated the package so it should now build correctly. Unfortunately Apache Flex (version 4.9) doesn't provide Linux binaries, so I guess that for now we have to stick to version 4.6.

Currently, the package does not build for me. Please consider moving the definition of the _DIR variables into the package() function.

Note that bin/adl is an OSX binary, and thus not runnable on Linux. I suggest removing it if only for the fact that this may conflict with the adobe-air-sdk adl which does run. I also recommend removing all .bat files, but most maintainers are lazy and don't do that anyway.
