Yes pamac. It works with pretty much all AUR packages....only this one seems to fail...

Are you using pamac, @tio? If yes, it might not handle sha256sum well, but this is just a guess.

@Tio, @corysanin had a similar problem, but it turns out it wasn't an issue with the PKGBUILD, and the checksum is correct. Please clean your AUR Helper cache and try again. The binary package is available at userrepository.eu and was built with this exact PKGBUILD, and there were no issues when doing it

I get this error:

==> Retrieving sources...
  -> Found appimagepool-x86_64.AppImage
==> Validating source files with sha256sums...
    appimagepool-x86_64.AppImage ... FAILED
==> ERROR: One or more files did not pass the validity check!
Failed to build appimagepool-appimage

@brunomiguel Huh. Yeah, yay worked fine but it doesn't seem to work on pamac in Manjaro or Artix for whatever reason.

brunomiguel commented on 2022-01-09 19:12 (UTC)

@corysanin can't reproduce it. Make sure you clean any cache from the AUR helper you're using, and test it by cloning the git URL for the package

corysanin commented on 2022-01-08 22:51 (UTC)

Validity check is failing.
