You should switch to the modern declarative way of specifying per-architecture sources, instead of using Bash conditionals: source_i686=(...) source_x86_64=(...) sha512sums_i686=(...) sha256sums_x86_64=(...)

You should only use 'replaces' in case of actual package renames (see https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/PKGBUILD#replaces). 'aquaria-data-hib' is still a valid package that is not obsolete, and 'aquaria-git' used to provide the open-source version which is now provided by 'aquaria-ose-git' -- so none of those should be in your 'replaces' array, only in the 'conflicts' array.

My bad. Seems it was too late that evening. Agreed on PKGEXT. Saves quite some time on packaging.

The line "ln -s /opt/aquaria/aquaria /usr/bin/aquaria" should be "ln -s /opt/aquaria/aquaria $pkgdir/usr/bin/aquaria". Besides, it's better to add "PKGEXT=.pkg.tar" in the PKGBUILD.

Added symlink in /usr/bin

why not put a link to /opt/aquaria/aquaria in /usr/bin ?
