ART takes a very long time to build. This package helps users save some time.

@Biite The Open With command in digikam works, and I find no other reference to any other raw converters. There are some .desktop files in the digikam repo, but they are not packaged in extra/digikam. Most likely there is a stray .desktop file in your home folder (~/.local/share/applications).

The pkgbuild renames the installed files to lowercase (eg. ART-cli to art-cli) A package like digikam is looking for the original filename and thus cannot 'find' the art rawconverter. May I suggest to leave the original letter casing to prevent issues with other packages using this one?

@radumitrescu The desktop launcher is configured as a handler for MimeType=inode/directory. Removing it wouldn't necessarily solve your problem because other programs do the same.

Rather than assign shortcuts to launch default handlers, configure them to launch the specific program you want to use.

You could also edit a copy of the desktop file in ~/.local/share/applications/.

Both the binary and the source-built ART will hijack my custom shortcut for opening up Nautilus (Gnome Files).

I've set SUPER+E to open up Nautilus and that not longer functions once I install ART. SUPER+E will now instead open up ART. Morevover, clicking the icon of a mounted drive in Dash To Dock will no long work to open up Nautlius.

Changing my custom Nautilus shortcut to something else, SUPER+F, for instance, still opens up ART, instead of Files.
