PSA: This package is ONLY meant for those owning a PURCHASED Aseprite license. Users who will use this package will have to download the .deb file provided by the Aseprite developers using the link they received upon purchase.

The package is expected to be placed next to the PKGBUILD. Then run makepkg to unpack and install the .deb package. If it still doesn't work, make sure the file name of the .deb file is correct and try again.

Also check out the PKGBUILD itself for a description on the matter.

it's good that this package supports that.

@beeb if they don't the pkgbuild is passable for deletion (btw I didn't take bad your reply :) )

@FabioLolix i wasn't being sassy, aseprite dev deserves the $ from purchase to it's good that this package supports that.

This is for the amd64 package, not i386 package. Make sure you download the file that ends with _amd64.deb.

@beeb not packager fault

Very nice little utility package. Cool that you're keeping it locked to purchasers.

As a reminder, this package does not automatically download aseprite. You must purchase aseprite, and download the file into the same folder before building the package.

If you get an error about Aseprite was not found in the build directory and is not a URL, that means you are missing the file. Please download it from Aseprite, and put it in the build directory.

Please do not mark this as out-of-date for beta releases. I don't think it makes sense to have this track the beta version, that likely should be a different package.

@FabioLolix removed the prepare, thanks for the feedback.

FabioLolix commented on 2021-08-11 17:21 (UTC)

Hello, the notice you have put in prepare() is pointless because if there isn't the .deb is will fail earlier and will not print it, otherwise is pointless because there is already the .deb and things will procede fine.

Works perfect with the latest 1.2.28 with the blipbloop instructions
