I just released a new package that will track the current Enterprise Release(1) version of Confluence: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/atlassian-confluence-lts/

If you want a more "stable" version, you can go for the current Enterprise Release. Switching between the two is possible if it is a logical version upgrade. So Enterprise Release 6.6 to Normal Release 6.7 is possible.

If the service confluence failed to start, don't forget to check the home JDK used : sudo archlinux-java status And to set to the one used by the application, like : sudo archlinux-java set java-8-openjdk For example

According to Atlassian, there is a bug in Confluence 5.10.5 when connected to a Crowd Directory: https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/confluence-5-10-5-release-notes-847753662.html So, if you depend on Crowd SSO, please DO NOT upgrade to this version. 5.10.6 should probably be release in a few days.

@serialoverflow Actually I did that because that's the directory structure we use at our company. ;) But it also makes sense if you look at the FHS: /var/opt is for variable files that belong to Software in /opt.

Hi, thanks for updating. Can i ask why you changed the confluence.home from /usr/share/confluence to /var/opt/atlassian-confluence? Also, why not use /var/lib?

It does however work without issues on openjdk, they just don't officially support it.

The dependency has to be 'java-runtime=8' instead of 'java-runtime-jre=8'

Might be a good idea to comment out the JAVA_HOME line in /etc/conf.d/confluence. The default of /opt/sun-java6 had me confused for a while as to why the service failed to run, but su as confluence and running the same command worked without issue. It might be useful to specify a different JAVA_HOME sometimes, but generally the default will work for people with Confluence 5.x
