After the git migration and introduction of pkgctl with devtools 1.0.0, it is recommended to recreate all aurutils chroots and update any pacman configuration in /etc/aurutils/pacman-x86_64.conf.

rm -rf /var/lib/aurbuild
cp /usr/share/devtools/pacman.conf.d/extra.conf /etc/aurutils/pacman-x86_64.conf
vim /etc/aurutils/pacman-x86_64.conf  # add local repository

Known issues with 2.3.3:

Download issues are not displayed with parallel: https://github.com/AladW/aurutils/issues/662
Multilib is enabled by default even for non-x86 systems: https://github.com/AladW/aurutils/issues/722
User configuration is read by wget calls: https://github.com/AladW/aurutils/issues/732

These are fixed in aurutils-git (only recommended if you are actually having these issues).

Anyway, base-devel group is assumed to be installed for using AUR. There is no need have sudo to be in 'depends' neither in 'makedepends' array.

Actually the base-devel group is required for building packages, not using them. This package can be built on a computer and installed on another that indeed needs the sudo package installed.
