If I correct it to the proper URL, curl warns that it can't create a secure connection. I'm not sure if I'm willing to put peoples' machines at risk for a tarball.

The address seems to have changed to the following http://www.linux.edu/download/autozen-2.1.tar.gz

Apologies, I was patching the Makefile for sanity, but forgot to include the final binary in the install rule.

For some reason, pkgrel 5 doesn't seem to install the actual "autozen" executable -- just seq2wav and zentime. It builds, so it's easy enough to add install -Dm 755 "autozen" -t "$pkgdir/usr/bin/" to the end of the package() section, but it's a bit puzzling to me why that should be necessary.

Can you fix this so that it builds with modern-day makepkg?

OK Found another link with the source package - replaced that for the moment till the original download link works again. Also added gtk deps

realitygaps commented on 2010-11-08 16:54 (UTC)

Thx for the info, i'll update the PKGBUILD with gtk dependencies just as soon as I can get the source to download - and maybe mirror the source code somewhere too...

Package is up-to-date, but requires gtk v1. Please add to the depedencies. Also it seems that downloading the sources is unreliable, but succeeds from time to time.

Oh well, then I get this: "autozen.c:744: undefined reference to `GTK_TEXT'"... Looks like it was originally built with GTK-1.2.

Source archive is downloaded fine, but build fails because: "gtk-config: command not found". `gtk-config --cflags` `gtk-config --libs` could be replaced with `pkg-config --libs --cflags gtk+-2.0` I suppose... Maybe with a sed in the PKGBUILD?
