@jkav77: No, you're not supposed to see the Cinnamon Shell. The point of the package is to use all of awesomewm with the nice GTK themes that you've set in Cinnamon.

Should I be able to see cinnamon-panel? I am not seeing it and I am wondering if this is a natural consequence of switching window managers or a bug? I would prefer to use cinnamon panel for the pleasant-looking wifi/power/volume widgets.

@phaseburn: Log into Awesome Cinnamon, then log into another environment, examine the output of journalctl -b. Please post back if there is anything related to either cinnamon, awesome or something at the time you logged in with Awesome Cinnamon. This is how I discovered the dependency on notification-daemon.

Getting the error 'Failed to load session "awesome"' whenever I try to log in with it set as my session. Went through the manual install instructions from GitHub and that didn't seem to help, either.
