Works like a breeze in 2025. During the install you will be shown a command like '/home/username/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/252950/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/Roaming/bakkesmod/runner.sh' '/home/username/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/252950/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/Roaming/bakkesmod/inject.exe' which you can then run while the game is open to inject.
