Hi hopeseekr,

Thanks for offering help. I'm more than happy to give you write access (which I will do as soon as I'm done typing here).

As far as I know, the AUR is quite informal. As you're the author of the software, I fully trust you with write access, and you don't need to coordinate much with me (especially so as I don't have a reliable arch machine these days).

EDIT: I listed you as co-maintainer. If you want to be "main" maintainer, I would need to disown the package (which you would then inherit). Let me know if you want to do that (in which case you could also optionally add me back as co-maintainer)

The Bad News: Yesterday, in merging bash-timer with my much more popular github.com/hopeseekr/BashScripts project, I rewrote all of its git commit messages to be prefixed with [bash-timer] and that positively broke this aur package (which I didn’t know existed at the time).

The Good News: I fixed the AUR build. It’s over at https://github.com/hopeseekr/bash-timer.aur.

I have no idea how to submit a PR to this AUR repo. I would very much like write permission to this AUR repo so I can help maintain the package myself.

couldn't this depend on bash-preexec without forcing the latest vcs version?

Awesome, thanks a lot.

Hi, Thanks for the feedback, first PKGBUILD.

I will immediately address the second issue, but I have a quick question about the first issue.

This PKGBUILD targets a specific commit number matching the v1.1.0 release. Does this not qualify as a static release ? If not, then the way to go would be to use something like https://github.com/hopeseekr/bash-timer/archive/v1.1.0.tar.gz as source (as the alternative to renaming it) ?
