The problem with that approach is that arch has various kernel flavours (lts, hardened, zen, to name a few) and we can't mention all their header files for obvious reasons.
The dkms package in fact uses these different header packages as optdepends, because it can't decide on which one to pick either.

Thanks for the quick fix, it solved the issue.
Another thing I noticed is when installing the package the install fails because the kernel headers are missing. This is solved by installing the
linux-headerspackage. Shouldn'tlinux-headersbe added as a dependency then?<deleted-account> commented on 2019-03-25 14:52 (UTC)
Thanks, I've pushed a fix based on belzebub40ks comment and made him co-maintainer as I'm not actively using batman-adv on arch anymore.

The BUILT_MODULE_LOCATION in dkms.conf is wrong. It should to be "net/batman-adv/". The build subfolder was dropped in one of the last releases.

I get
Error! Build of batman-adv.ko failed for: 5.0.4-arch1-1-ARCH (x86_64)when installing this package. The output tells me to look at make.log in the build directory but this file does not contain anything out of the ordinary.
Manually executing
make cleanfollowed bymakein the build directory (/var/lib/dkms/batman-adv-dkms/v2019.0/build) works without any problems.Any hints on figuring out what the problem might be?
