@italic: Does this happen with a regular makepkg build? I tried a Manjaro container and that worked fine. Couldn't test pamac build though, because it required systemd running in the container.
Also, can you try
bfs-git

I've been getting a build error on Manjaro since 2.4.1 release. This is updating through pamac.
