The git:// protocol issue has been resolved.

I received the following error when PKGBUILD script was attempting to clone the git repo:

The unauthenticated git protocol on port 9418 is no longer supported.

Fix suggestion: I could bypass this error by changing git:// to git+https:// in PKGBUILD, as described in AUR Package Sources.

So, line 11 in PKGBUILD would read: source=('git+https://github.com/blueOkiris/bgrm.git')

@BachoSeven It does depend on python-pip and creates the venv in /opt as a post install

Since the first setup requires creating a virtual environment, this should depend (or at least optional-depend) on python-pip.

Alternatively, since the user would surely want to do the setup to use the program, perhaps you could add such setup in the prepare() function of the package itself (creating the venv in /opt or system-wide if that's possible).
