Is anyone willing to maintain this package? I no longer use it, and therefore am no longer fit to be a good maintainer. If no takers show up in the next 15 days I'll just orphan Bibus.

@jefdaj: Thanks for the heads up. Updated.

Installs fine, except had to change pyxml dependency to python2-lxml.

I know the program is not working with LO right now. But this *is* the latest version, so please do not flag it out of date. Thanks.

Hello everyone. As you may have alreadt witnessed, bibus is no longer working with the latest libreoffice. This is due to libreoffice now using python3, whereas bibus uses python2. I have started an effort in the bibus mailing list to port bibus to python3, in order to continue using it. It's a big effort, as changing the toolkit used to draw the GUI is required as a part of the process. So what I am asking is: is anyone here interested in contributing with code/ideas/testing for this project? Thank you for your attention.

I have updated the package to correct the redundancy mentioned by ChdrDR. Thank you for the heads up. However, this was not tested with openoffice. If someone could test that for me I would be very grateful. I also corrected a bug on a file with incorrect line endings (DOS). Your feedback is very welcome.

@ChdrDr: I will have to run some tests to check that. Thanks for your input. I will get back to you once I look into it.

FYI, if you build the package in a chroot, you will have to install Libreoffice or Openoffice to your chroot because otherwise the paths in /usr/share/bibus/bibus.cfg will not be set correctly. @Stunts: Why do you first set export ooure=/usr/lib/libreoffice/basis-link/ure-link/lib export oobasis=/usr/lib/libreoffice/basis-link/program in your PKGBUILD and later change it to ooure = /usr/lib/libreoffice/program oobasis = /usr/lib/libreoffice/program in /usr/share/bibus/bibus.cfg ? Wouldn't it make more sense to set the paths correctly right from the start? (Haven't tried that, however...)

I have adopted the package. I hope I can maintain it at least as well as you did. Thank you for the years you kept it working!
