I see. Thank you for the update @qKUqm3wtY4

@dmp1ce Thanks for adding a snap onto snapcraft!

I did go back and test the build again, but it's still broken. I posted the error on github: https://github.com/bisq-network/bisq/issues/1677

EDIT: Install failed simply because I had jdk10 installed and it was trying to use that instead of jdk8 - it worked once I uninstalled jdk10.

There was some upstream changes which broke the build. The build should work now. Please report other issues.

I created a Snap for Bisq which is here: https://snapcraft.io/bisq-desktop

I'll look into a flatpak as well.

The build fails. It has been 18 days since you posted that the package would be updated. If you aren't going to keep this updated, would you mind just creating a stable flatpak so that anyone can install it on any Linux distro without issue? Either way, I appreciate you and all of the other devs.

I am onto updating the package. Might take a few days though.

I'll be working on a fix.

The patch worked for me. Thank you for bringing it to my attention. I didn't apply the version to `gui-` files yet. I'll try to get that working by the next version or I'll just change it manually.

Here's a patch for PKGBUILD that seems to build and run ok. You'll want to fix my use of gui-0.5.3.jar (I am not sure how to use the pkgver from the git revision).

Also note a similar patch will work for the bisq pkgbuild, minus the changes to remove the 4 library dependency sources, which according to build document, used to be required but are not needed anymore.
