yes, I have already seen that I can only contact them but last time they told me that the program was obsolete (although this is not true because they still have the antivirus engine updated and the virus signatures).

BitDefender for FreeBSD is useless without a license key. I mean it does not even have an evaluation period.

And here is the catch: the key for BitDefender Linux does not work for BitDefender FreeBSD.

I'm a hacker, not a felon.

Piracy=felony.

So? I already have BitDefender-Antivirus-Scanner-7.7-1-linux-amd64.deb.run

Making it available from AUR is the real problem (copyright, secure download website).

I downloaded it from the repository when it was still working, otherwise the original file is here https://t.me/s/linuxSegurInteresInformatica/1549 @tgeorgescu

@carlosnewmusic

I cannot download those files (I have an adblocker and tried Opera with VPN, does not work either).

I know of no way of automatically downloading those files.

I have no reason to trust those files.

the packages are out of date, that's why it gives errors in the interface, the last version is this one https://t.me/linuxSegurInteresInformatica/1593 or https://hxfile.co/rh4ducwluphj (deb.run) and debs https://hxfile.co/3viaeksvk20t https://hxfile.co/dcqgqw3vmbiy

Sooo.. what kind of license should I ask for, on the site? I recognize no product at all which would match

Can someone try fix this please , I tried to figure it out but to no avail, the install is creating two install folders in /opt/ bitdefender-scanner and bitdefender there should only be one, preferable just bitdefender for folder neatness

OK, let's rehearse the data:

I use Arch, not Manjaro.

I use sudo bdscan --update for updating BitDefender. Works OK.

sudo bdgui works OK, but when I press Scan, it just dies (with no error message whatsoever).

So, I only use command line scanning, with logging. After the scan is finished I use grep nfected * and grep uspect * for analyzing the log file.
