Y'all need to learn to read the damn PKGBUILD.

install -Dm774 -ggames EmuHawkMono.sh "${pkgdir}/opt/bizhawk/EmuHawkMono.sh"

So you need to usermod -aG games yourname.

@thebigboo The PKGBUILDs on the AUR are user-contributed. Please refrain from posting snarky and rude comments in the future. These are not welcome here. If you don’t have anything constructive to say, please go make your own PKGBUILD.

@thebigboo The PKGBUILD copies the file with the needed permissions (774; see line 47). Seems like the problem is somewhere on your side. From my testing, the file has always been installed with the right permissions, allowing me to execute it.

'/opt/bizhawk/EmuHawkMono.sh' exists but is not an executable file. nice testing..

@furrykef Good point. Thank you for your suggestion. I think no one has created that file yet. That's why the package doesn't provide one. Contributions welcome.

I don't understand why this package doesn't add a desktop entry per the XDG Desktop Entry specification: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Desktop_entries

It'd make it a lot easier to launch the program.
