The Git version might be useful indeed, so here is one with correct pkgname/provides/conflicts: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/blackwidowcontrol-git BTW: If you can confirm that the script works with a device not already listed in the README.md, please add it there or leave a comment here.

The latest git version has been working for me. Thanks, Martchus!

To anyone who wants to try the latest git version, I made a PKGBUILD that does just that: https://gist.github.com/xordspar0/86e1aeb4ae8ddedaaf44fa107a1501fd

Hi, the script is working well for me for years now with the regular/cheapest BlackWidow so I can not reproduce the issue. Which keyboard do you use? Here is a list with the supported devices: https://github.com/Martchus/blackwidowcontrol When the macro keys don't do anything, does it help to simply re-execute the script? Does adjusting the brightness work? Also note that the script must run with root privileges. The current master is 3 commits ahead the latest release. I don't see any relevant changes, but you might try using the Git version. I will release it very soon anyways.

I've had problems with this package. The keys are assigned differently every time I reboot. Sometimes they are called launch[5-8], sometimes they are media keys, and sometimes they don't do anything at all.

This is true. However, there is python-pyusb-git providing python-pyusb. I could recycle the PKGBUILD file from the old AUR. It should be still up-to-date. I should also mention, that this BlackWidow script has only been tested with the regular edition of the keyboard (the cheapest) using the firmware update from Razer Synapse 2.0 (and hence might not work with other editions/firmware versions).

python-pyusb is no longer available. https://github.com/walac/pyusb
