Please omit the "pygtk" dependency, it has been replaced by PyGObject based on python 3. This stops from drawing in the deprecated python2 packages, which is completely unnecessary since upstream has already embraced python3.

@lucasrizzini what does your ethical preferences have to do with this aur packaging page?
lucasrizzini commented on 2020-04-19 09:04
Isn't this illegal?

@Feror the easy fix is to remove and reinstall it. I don't know if the packager can do anything about that.

Since the last python update, the program won't start. It returns the following message:

Yeah, this is the only one that works completely for me (at least with the GUI, as I've never used the CLI), since
spotify-adkiller-git
does not mute skip-able ads.The only bug I've found is that sometimes it thinks songs are ads and mutes them, but that happens rarely, and pausing/playing the song through the blockify GUI fixes it.

1) Project nearly-abandoned 2) No HiDPI support since it doesn't pass calling arguments to spotify ("--force-device-scale-factor=1.75") 3) Takes too much time to open

@gsrafael01 I use it in KDE, it always worked for me correctly.

Does this package only work for me? I see people all the time talking about how it no longer works, but it has always worked completely fine for me, especially the UI. I wonder if the desktop environment has something to do with it? I use XFCE.

Don't recall, but the UI definitely didn't work. I can assure you
spotify-adkiller-git
works. ^^ If an ad isn't muted, toggle playback, perhaps more than once, until it does mute.
