I completely agree that this package is badly implemented. At the time of making this package, I didn't really know how to make them correctly, so I don't recommend installing this package. If you want to get rid of the blurry text, I suggest using the fix already mentioned by @starquake.

The way this is implemented looks a bit weird to me. A script is installed that downloads a package and installs that using pacman. It also edits a file that is owned by a different package.
For anyone looking for an alternative fix, look here: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/GTK#Text_in_GTK_4_applications_is_blurry_or_renders_incorrectly

Wow! This works perfectly! I frequently distro hop, and I've always noticed that all Gnome text looks quite blurry in Arch compared to other distros like Fedora. This package just completely solved this issue, everything is sharp and clear now! Thanks a bunch for this fix!

This is fantastic! If I understand correctly, it's not technically about blurry text, but about restoring proper hinting, which current GNOME maintainers deliberately ruined in GTK4. This package should be mentioned in Wiki I think.
